1.)Could Sportsplan have Russel lay out how to defend a free hit/push into your circle from the left, center and right? More importantly show how the team moves/shifts when a pass is made from that area of the court to another in this situation.
2.) How to play against a 1/2 court system defense. What should the team be looking to do to find space and be successful.
Against a 1/2 court (normally a dice formation 2 high 1 middle and 2 back). It is adviced for the team in possession to play 2 at the back 2 in the midfield (wide) and 1 up front in the middle leading on the ball side each time. The key to creating space and opportunities is to be extremly patient while keeping possession of the ball. The team need to play the ball around the back and into the midfield with speed (2 touch ). the opportunities arise when the shape of the dice begins to break up because of a player not keeping up with the ball . Tha is when you can attack and create the changes. Jeff I am working on some more for you with Russ will let you know when finished. Merry Christmas Bram
