I'm looking for fun field hockey drills as we occasionally do a Fun Day but I want to get good skills in also. Something like Steal the Bacon. Any ideas?
Hockders%3A - A form of rounders. The bowler hits the ball. The batter strikes the ball - e.g looking for spaces. The field players have to hit the ball to first base and then the ball is passed round the bases. The batter collects ball by 4th base and has to dribble ball round to first base Field players must get ball to 4th base before batter gets to 1st base. The batter rns round an inner area and the field players are approk 5 meters away depending on the ability of players. Jean
Jean, just a couple of questions...as I am an American, I have no idea what rounders or bowlers are, but I assume it's like a baseball diamond? Are there two balls in play then? The fielders' ball and the batter's ball? And when the fielders pass the ball it's on the outside of the bases? While the batters runs/dribbles on the inside, correct? This sounds fun, I'll try it.
