Hi all,I am wondering, what do you think about formation 3-5-2? I watch football a lot and i think that our sport is very similar tactically. With this formation you could get 5 defenders when you are defending and in the offense these wide backs could join attack and the you have 5 - 6 players in the finish and easier way to get out of the press. I dont know this is just a thought. Let me know what do you think. Thank you
Hi, I think it is a good idea, I'm thinking of doing something similar. I think the halfbacks can be wide midfielders if you do not have enough defenders, as they are essentially the main outletting option (into Centre Half and out). Ideally giving them a 1v1 against a normally weak defender (winger) so you can them find an overload elsewhere. Also it does not matter too much if they lose a 1v1 out on the sideline near the half way line. I think the two Centre Half's should stay on different heights and lines whilst outletting to avoid opposing players to block both passing options to them at once.
Hi, I've played and coached a similar 3 back tactic where it's described as a 3-2-3-2 and allows effectively every position to be responsible for an area on the pitch and a typical area a player should be in the commonly used 4-3-3.
Hi. The 3:2:3:2 has also been my go to when yo want everyone working and involved. It also gives a good balance in attack and defence.
