I coach a ladies two side, our defesive players are all rather slow on their feet due to age, injuries etc, this isn't to bad against slow attacking teams however we are now playing very fast forwards, how can my slower defensive players combat this.

I sugest to work on better position of your defense players maybe play with 5 defenders in stead of 4 (i asume you play with 4 defenders like almost every one) this way you have more players who defend and better cover to your players.
Improve their tacktics%3A instead of following the player outside, choose quicker the back way to your own goal, this way you block the way to the goal instead of pressure the ball.
Let the attackers go inside instead of outside special the left back can do this she is now defending on her forehand and you have more players on the inside then on the outside
