Anyone know some Fun Hockey Drills to do ? not working on anything in particular
Game related drills are always fun like relays or in case you work with small children, drills with a little story. If you could be more specific in your question, I can be more specific in my answer. regards, Carel
I like teaching the concept of finding space, moving off the ball and the importance of passing to progress down the pitch is helped by a game using a tennis ball and no sticks.
The teams are only allowed to roll the ball to each other with only one step in any direction whilst in possession. No rugby tackles either to gain possession-its all about trying to anticipate and intercept when defending the goal.
Simple object of the game is to pass your way to your opponents goal and score. Using the tennis ball avoids the injury hazard arising from an illegal throw of a hockey ball. Hope this helps %3A-)
in more ways than one
