Defense stays in defense, attack stays in attack; so right moves to center, center to left and left moves out. I don't know it will work but it helps me maintaining overview as a coach and the kids don't get too confused.

Another solution%3A Each week different players are the substitutes of the week. The eleven that start play the whole match on their positions. When you change, the substitute takes that position. If you change the player back, the player takes the same position as before. So the starting eleven play the whole match in the same position and get used to the role. The next week you appoint other substitutes.
