How do I arrange substitutes for 14 field players during a game?

Who can help me to develop a tool to manage the substitutional players during a match? I manage a team of 15 girls of 12-14 years old with different levels of hockey experience. To arrange the substitutes is quite complicated and I am searching for a helpful tool.

Hello,

Having rolling subs every 7 minutes is recommend. As you are working with mixed abilities and ages i would recommend keeping your strongest players distributed in all areas of the pitch, whilst also allowing weaker players match time for them to improve!

Good luck !

I have had the same problem many times and developed an analog way to sort them out that has been working for me for a decade or more.
I have a magnetic whiteboard in my coach folder and all the players names are written on magnetic strips that I can shuffle around the board. I set them out in groups, say for instance you have 4 subs then you have 4 groups. For ease, and depending on your structures, you could set it out as, Forwards (3) Inside forwards (2) , Half Backs (3) and Backs (2). Have a sub in each group. The players soon learn to read it themselves and sort it out. For instance the Backs, there are 2 on the field and one off. The name tag of the off player is separated from the others and before that player goes on they just swap their tag with the player they are subbing and go sub on..On the example attached, before Angela goes on she moves her name up and takes L off the top and moves her down.....Then when it is L`s turn to go on she moves hers up and puts Jemma`s down the bottom.
You can easily plan the order of subs so that you limit the number of weaker players on at any time.
I have a pic of my board from the last game..... Backs were every 7 or 8 minutes, meaning around 15 minutes on, Mids and strikers were every 3 minutes, meaning 9 minutes on the pitch at a time.
