Coaching points

In this drill player works on regular volleys and half-volleys. Regular volley shouldn’t be a problem for intermediate player to control but half-volley can create a lot of pressure for net player. Coach should teach player to bend knees, maintain low position and lower the racquet to contact the ball right after the bounce. These technical adaptations are crucial to effectively respond to ball placed right in front of the player. From the tactical perspective players should focus on depth and control to make sure that they don’t miss this ball.
