3 cones are set behind the player. The player then takes one ball and using their left leg jumps back and places the ball on the cone. The player quickly recovers back and repeats this action for the other cones.
In this drill, the player works on balance and strength of the left leg. The left leg plays a crucial role in recovery action after the serve so players have to perform specific drills to improve abilities of this leg. Performing hundreds of serves during the practice session can result in an injury if the player doesn't strengthen the working leg so implementing simple exercises at the beginning of the practice is a good method to prevent possible hurts.
