DESCRIPTION

- Two lines of forwards
- One passive defender
- Use disguised pass or a dribble to eliminate defender

COACHING POINTS

- Forward not in possession of the ball should always be ready to receive the ball
- Player in possession should run angles instead of straight at the defender
- Defender should use body position to  isolate forward

PROGRESSION

- Allow the defender to tackle

2v1 Gauntlet:

- 2 on 1  gauntlet elimination
- Mark areas out on the pitch
- Place desired numbers of defenders across the gauntlet

2v1 Elimination: Passing off the right foot | Eliminating a Player

2v1 Elimination: Passing off the right foot:

- 2 vs 1 Elimination
- Utilise right foot pass
- Use space to assist in defender elimination
- Passive defender
- Pass should be disguised

Beat a player relay | Eliminating a Player

Beat a player relay:

  • Setup as shown.

    • Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 who dribbles the ball into the box before dribbling out of one of the side of the box. Player 1 then passes the ball back to player 4 for the practice to start again.

    Changing of direction relay | Eliminating a Player

    Changing of direction relay:

    Set out the cones as shown in the picture.

    Each side of the triangles are about 1m.

    They should be positioned in such away that the players exiting one traingle can run in straight line to into the next.

    The practice is that the players have to run in to one side of the triangle and exit through another side.
