This drill will use both sides of the court, or two nets so there is lots of movement and contacts by all players. Have 2 players in the back row, one player at each antenna, and 2 players off the court ready to fill in The coach enters the ball to one of the back row players who passes the ball into the center of the court The other back row player sets the ball to the cross-court hitter and moves back into position to receive the ball from the hitter The hitter hits a controlled attack back to the defender who digs the ball and fills in the open position The other back row player then sets the dig cross-court and continues the rotation
Focus Quality control touches Keep the ball in continuation for as long as possible Variations If our team has too much trouble with a controlled hit, adjust the drill to best fit your needs Have players try to reach a goal of how many contacts they can get in a row
