DESCRIPTION

Suitable for kids and youth players. Players follow a leader to move sideways along the horizontal lines and either forwards or backwards along the vertical lines.

Recommend to do this one after a slow jogging cardio session around the courts.

COACHING POINTS

  • Players should always be facing the net side.
  • Moving forward is always a sprint!
  • Moving sideways can be done using side-steps or cross-steps.
  • Moving backwards not too fast to avoid imbalance.
  • Let the players take turns in leading the drill (leadership).
