This week we want your players to be comfortable with playing a slice shot and hitting balls with backspin.
To get comfortable with applying backspin to the shot from different locations on the court.
What's in the Session?
The session begins by breaking movements patterns down so that players feel comfortable controlling their upper and lower body weight. The session then develops with the coach hitting balls at varying lengths and testing them by changing how long they have to react to play the backhand slice. This session also focuses on implementing a high number of repetitions so the player feels comfortable and confident when they play the shot in a match situation.
To improve control over the sliced, backspin shot from the forehand side.
To improve skills that are necessary to take advantage of short balls and win points at the net.
Create a resolution to develop your coaching confidence by seizing the opportunity to discover new drills, turn ideas into action and seek advice from the coaching community.
