This week we're helping your players improve the consistency and placement of their backhand strokes.
Players often have weaker backhands than forehands, so it is important that players regularly work on this to stop it becoming a weakness in their game.
What's in the Session?
Packed with great live ball drills, we start with a fun drill that uses the doubles alley as a target before working on hitting strokes from different parts of the court (deep, middle and short). Drills also cover controlling direction, recovering quickly and opening up the court by using the angle.
Tennis demands a unique combination of endurance, power, agility, and flexibility. Physical preparation determines how long careers last and how players perform when it matters most.
Ecological dynamics is transforming tennis coaching. This constraints-led approach develops adaptable, creative players who can solve problems in competition, not just execute drilled patterns.
The one-handed backhand is becoming rare, but when executed well, it remains one of tennis's most elegant and effective shots. Is it a dying art or a tactical advantage?
