Recieving the ball from the right on the move:

In pairs players run down a channel (5m apart ) passing the ball to each others forehand.

Check Players keep their feet pointing forward at all time. especially on the left.

One touch passing across the river | Overload situations

One touch passing across the river:

Working in pairs players have to play 1 touch passes across the river (2 lines of cones about 2 meters apart).

If one of the players touches the ball twice they should stop and go back, joining the queue again.

This way only the players who successfully pass their way down the river can have a shot at goal (again with their first touch).

Players in pairs have to try and 1st touch pass the ball across the river if one of the players touches the ball twice they should stop and come back so only if the players are successful all the way they can have a shot at goal (again with their first touch.)

One touch pass on the move:

Players work in pairs with one ball.

They have to pass between each set of cones and can only use one touch passing.

Dribble Pass and Move | Passing & Receiving

Dribble Pass and Move:

  • Setup the practice as shown.
  • Split the group into two.

    • Player 1 dribbles up to the cone before passing the ball across to player 2. Players have to make sure that they give a pass in each box.
