A good way to disguise a pass from left to right
Passing & Receiving
Grip: Hands apart but similar 'double V grip' to the hitting technique.
Head: The head should be positioned over the right foot as the player starts to push the ball. The head will finish well over the left foot once the follow through has been completed.
Ball: Almost a full stick length away from the body. The ball should start in front of the right foot and will be released when it has passed the left foot. Keep the stick in contact with the ball for as long as possible.
A good follow through technique will see the head of the stick pointing at the intended target.
On the move: Players should use the 'cross-over' step where the penultimate step is the right foot crossing behind the left foot. This motion allows the player to stay in a low position throughout the push. Keeping both feet on the ground when in contact with the ball will help the player stay balanced throughout the pushing technique, and will help the transfer of weight from right foot to left.
Passing & Receiving
4 Players have to pass the ball around the outside of a square of cones in any direction.
After a few minutes remove the cones. The players have to now continue passing around, keeping the same distance to each other as if the cones were still there.
If one player misses the ball all players have to run to where the ball has gone and continue passing, remaining the same distance apart as before.

Common mistake the ball being run by the side or behind the body you can see that the feet are also not pointing forward but slightly to the side.
This practice is good to teach players to run the ball in front rather then by their side and to close to the feet. Ask the player to not move their feet while trying to push the ball as far forward as possible. Just before the player loses their balance they can start moving their feet while keeping the ball at the same distance throughout their run.
This exercise is very good for teaching players to run with the stick at the right angle. Make the players run with the ball with both their hands near the ground. and tell them that after a couple 5 meters they can come up slow to where they feel comfortable. This normally makes the players run lower then they where and also makes them keep the ball in front of them while running

Coach's objective: Drag from left to right thus creating time in which to pass to the right Purpose : To drag the ball backwards and away from an imaginary opponent Players work individually and can use a cone to represent the imaginary opponent.
Ball each players have to stand next to the ball with the ball on the right. On the whistle the players should turn towards the ball spread their feet either side of the ball bend down and put the stick behing the ball. This would be the position the ball should be stopped. Repeat the practivce lots of times to make sure every player understands the position. Then progress to the passing of the ball in pairs.

Player practices the foot pattern in isolation. Strating in the middle and stepping out with their right foot to put their foot at 4 and back.
