Hockey: Receiving the ball on the move

DESCRIPTION

1 - when receiving the ball on the forehand, the player should let the ball role passed the right foot, then continue the run, then pass back the ball.

2 - receives the ball on the reverse (allow ball to run passed left foot) and continues to run with the ball on the forehand before passing back the ball.

Receiving on the move:

Player runs away from the line to then turn and receive the ball on the reverse stick side and run to the line and turn

Passing & Receiving

Receiving the ball in space on the reverse stick:

Make two squares, one big one with a smaller inner square. 3 players stand inside the small square and a fourth player stands on one of the outside square's corners with the ball.

The outside player passes the ball anti-clockwise to the player running out of the middle, who receives the ball by the next outside cone (cone A).
This player then passes the ball to the next player running out - timing their pass so that it arrives at the outside cone as the runner does.

Recieving ball fom behind:

In pairs one ball between 2. Players run up and down between cones or lines player behind passing the ball to the one infront and then change direction and continue.

Receive reverse on the move:

2 Balls Players in the middle receive the ball on the reverse pass the ball on to the next player to then receiving the same ball back again on the reverse.
