Players get into pairs with 1 ball per pair.
The player with the ball dribbles around the area until one of the two defenders in the area comes towards them. At this point they need to pull the ball back and pass to their partner.
Defenders in the area are not allowed to tackle or intercept the ball, they can only put pressure on players with the ball.
Gradually increase the role of the defender, making them more active by allowing them to intercept the ball.
Players start in pairs on the 23 meter line.
The attackers have to try and score a goal against the defender.
The defender has no stick and to stop the players scoring they have to tag the player in possession of the ball. As soon as a player has been tagged both attackers must stop and join the queue again.
Player 1 passes the ball back to the supporting player. Player 1 then runs in the opposite direction to which he/she wants to receive the ball. The supporting player plays the ball back, first time, into the space created. Player 1 should time the run so that after receiving the return ball, he/she can play a fast 2v1 with the attacker.
Shooting & Goalscoring
Working in pairs players have to play 1 touch passes across the river (2 lines of cones about 2 meters apart).
If one of the players touches the ball twice they should stop and go back, joining the queue again.
This way only the players who successfully pass their way down the river can have a shot at goal (again with their first touch).
Players in pairs have to try and 1st touch pass the ball across the river if one of the players touches the ball twice they should stop and come back so only if the players are successful all the way they can have a shot at goal (again with their first touch.)
Working in pairs players have to work their way down the cones, passing across the river (2 lines of cones about 2 meters apart).
The player who receives the final pass may have a shot on goal before then collecting the ball.
When both players are ready they then sprint to the back of the queue, racing each other as they go.
Players start from the left or the right with a ball. One defender in the Circle and one support attacker on the back line. Players with the ball start out side the circle and have to try and score. Depending on how what the defender does the attacker with the ball can choose to use the 2nd attacker or go on their own to score.
3 Players with a ball are trying to get one of the wide players across the goal line by passing the ball via the support player. The defending player ha to try and stop the player crossing the line.
4 players with 2 balls. One player in the middle is tightly marked. One of the players with the ball passes the ball at the marked player who then wall passes the ball back to this player for him/her to run with the ball to the other side. Then the 2nd player with the ball does the same once on the other side. Turn and repeat role reversal in the middle.
