DESCRIPTION

- Performing the squeeze movement over hurdles
- A useful elimination skill to beat an overcommiting defender

COACHING POINTS

- If players are struggling to lift the ball, have them slow the initial run down
- Move the ball further across to the right hand side, using the momentum off the ball to assist with the lift

PROGRESSION

- Use a passive defender to better recreate a game situation

- Perform multiple lifts on both sides over hurdles

Lifting in the direction of your run | 3D skills

Lifting in the direction of your run:

This is one of the hardest skills in 3D lifting the ball in the direction you are moving without a change of direction of the ball before.

Try not to make the players try this as a first one because the ball will keep rolling away and the players will not be able to get there stick under the ball.

Very important is that the player gets the stick as parallel and low to the ground ( pushing the top hand towards the pitch to lift the ball)
