DRILL TYPE: Motor Skills
A fun drill to work on throwing skills at a target.
1. Setup a line of poly spots starting near the net and straight back to the service line.
2. On the opposite side of the net, place 2 hula hoops in both servi boxes for targets.
3. Have one child at a time start on the spot closet to the net and toss or throw a ball at the target.
4. When the child hits the target, he or she moves back 1 spot and toss the ball to the target.
5. When unsuccessful, he or she moves one step forward ( unless already at the first position).
Tips:
1. Explain to the children to throw the ball to the side of their body and aim for the target.
Safety:
1. Ensure children are well spread out.
