COACHING POINTS

  • Cones are set in a diamond. Two players on opposite sides, one player with the basketball and the player without just shadows the player with the ball movement.
  • PLayer with the ball has to move within the the diamond. This means they can either go forward, backward or either side meaning left or right.
  • If the player with the ball wants to proceed forward, they have to set a trigger/indication for that to happen without impeading the other player or worst case having an incident where both players bump into one another. Player with the ball will have to repeatedidly bounce the ball 3 times in quick succession as a sign for the player shadowing or mirroring them to be ready to move backwards.
  • The player without the ball will be only mirroiring  the player with the ball, meaning the pllayer with the ball will be unopposed during this activity.
  • Drill will be 2 mins for each person. I will stop in between the first time both players in they're group hve had a go and after observing them the first time, I will give everyone feedback on what I think is needed the second time round to help improve their technique of driblling.
  • This is a mini fitness based activity as well working on the simple aspect of getting use to dribbling with the ball and work on having a better dribbling style.
