COACHING POINTS

Passing & moving dril:

Includes:

  • 3 groups/teams involved.
  • Square split into 3 parts for each team.

Aims/instructions:

  • Team in the middle will be aiming to retrieve the ball from the other two teams.
  • One player from the middle is only aloud to go into opposition teritory and win the ball through intercepting the pass or a clear and obvious mistake from the other team that was forced upon them by themself.
  • The two teams are suppose to make up to 5 passes before they are allowed to somehow get the ball to the other side without the interference from the middle team.
  • Potential stipulations and adaptattions can play a factor in this drill depending on how the group does in the first couple of minutes.

This is a very good drill in relation to basketball with the high tempo required in this drill, intensity will be key for the duration of the drill. In addition it also helps in both fitness relation and in game situation it terms of physically and strategically.
