hi my player going to play itf juniors so i need a two week programme is it possible?
Two weeks is enough if you keep the shape of it clear. In the first week do the harder work: full sessions with technical and tactical practice, movement, and a match or practice set at the end of most days. In the second week shift towards competition â more point play, serve and return patterns, tiebreaks, and shorter sessions so the load comes down as the event gets closer. Build in one proper rest day in each week, and have the last two days light with plenty of serving. For ITF juniors I would also plan the tactical side specifically: what their first ball is off the serve and off the return, and what they do when they are pushed back. That is usually the difference at that level.
Four technical nightmares creep into club tennis every season. Here are the drills that banish them for good.
Indoor courts give players less time and less room. Help them sharpen their split step, shorten their swing and stay calm, and winter becomes a season of real progress.
A tiebreak is a short sprint where every point is worth the same as a break of serve. The players who win them are rarely the ones who hit hardest. Here is how to coach the patterns, habits and scoreboard thinking that win the big points.
