Two-handed backhand: Throw an 5-pound medicine ball backhanded to another player.... back and forth! The throw should be up and arc over the net to the other player who catches the ball and lets it swing back and then forward smoothly to repeat the cycle. After 15 minutes or so, you should both feel a smooth consistant rythm, using both hands and arms equally. Repeat the same motion with the tennis racket and ENJOY!
One-handed backhand: Grip the racket at the butt of the handle with just your thumb and forefinger, and swing your body and step forward creating racket motion to hit ball cleanly and flat with a smooth long stroke that just uses the racket's own force while the arm and shoulder remain relaxed and loose. Once the ball is being hit consistantly with effective force and consistancy of form for 15 minutes or more, begin gripping the racket handle normally and repeat the same movements, and ENJOY!
