Split team into two teams. Team 1 will be spaced out on the serving line (each having their own ball and the remaining balls in the cart behind them).
Team 2 will lineup in a serve receive formation (if only 4, then the attackers are optional).
The first server in Team 1 will serve the ball. Team 2 will focus on receiving the serve and passing it to the setter who will set it to an attacker.
As soon as the play is done, the second server will serve their ball, do not wait for Team 2 to reset.
Once Team 1 has served all their balls (including those in the basket, Team 2 will rotate positions while Team 1 shags the balls.
Once all members of Team 2 have rotated through the setter position the teams will change roles.
To ensure a quick tempo, the coach may choose to have Team 1 serve on their command at first, until they grasp the temp that is desired.
This drill will work many facets of the game, and keeping the tempo up will work on moving and recovering quickly.
