DRILL TYPE: Relay
A fun relay to work on agility and speed skills.
1. Place 3 rackets or use upside down frisbee equidistant between the relay team and the net:
2. Place 2 balls for each child on the racket or upside down frisbee at the baseline.
3. When the coach shouts " Go" each child will take turns, taking a ball from the racket or upside down frisbee at the baseline and run and place it on the first racket or upside down frisbee.
4. They return to the baseline and pick up another ball, run it to the racket at the net and return to tag the next child in line.
5. The next child will return the balls back to the racket or upside down frisbee at the baseline.
Progression:
1. Another racket or upside down frisbee for each line and 1 ball for each child in line may be added for a longer race.
Tips:
1. Explain to the children to go slowly.
Safety:
1. For safety, lay racquet with the handles pointing toward the net.
2. For safety, use upside down frisbee.
