The Eastern Forehand Grip:
It puts more of the palm to the side of the racquet. This provides more natural support on the forehand stroke and takes pressure off of wrist strength.
You can impart both slice and topspin with this grip...or you can hit it flatly. Topspin may at times fly deep and out, but essentially this is a solid grip for many players on the forehand side.
Contact point: bit higher and parallel with the front leg.
In a closed stance...a 3/4 stance is acceptable for this grip/stroke combination.
Tennis demands a unique combination of endurance, power, agility, and flexibility. Physical preparation determines how long careers last and how players perform when it matters most.
Ecological dynamics is transforming tennis coaching. This constraints-led approach develops adaptable, creative players who can solve problems in competition, not just execute drilled patterns.
The one-handed backhand is becoming rare, but when executed well, it remains one of tennis's most elegant and effective shots. Is it a dying art or a tactical advantage?
