Organization: Split the Scholars into two groups and start out lined up on the baseline from either side of the gym (Minnows). Select and place one Scholar (Shark) in the center of the gym at halfcourt.
Description: Upon Coach’s whistle the Minnows sprint across the field to reach the opposite side without getting tagged by the Shark. If a Minnow is tagged, it becomes a Shark and goes after other Minnows. The last Minnow remaining is the winner.
Coaching Points: As in nature, the sharks must be aggressive in hunting the minnows. They should commit fully to locking in on and tagging the closest minnow.

Talent wins games, but chemistry wins championships. Building a positive team culture, establishing shared values, and developing trust creates teams that exceed the sum of their parts.
Getting to the rim is only half the battle. Converting against shot blockers and help defenders requires a toolkit of creative finishes. The best scorers have multiple ways to score at the basket.
Traditional positions are becoming obsolete. Modern basketball rewards versatile players who can handle, pass, shoot, and defend across multiple positions. Developing these skills creates valuable, adaptable players.
