This drill is to help with the fundamentals of sliding your feet and becoming a better defender.
We want to move the foot the direction we are going first.
We are going to establish the drill in a solid defensive posture and technique.
Scholar 1 will be the leader and have their hand on the side of the ball.
Scholar 2 will be the follower and have their hands on the top and bottom of the ball.
Scholar 1 as the leader will move their left or right foot to slide.
Scholar 2 will follow scholar 1's lead.
1st round will be slow, scholars will do this twice and switch leaders.
2nd round will be a little faster, scholars will do this twice and switch leaders.
