Warm up- Suicide Runs

DESCRIPTION

Suicide Runs- continuously run up and down the court. ,The suicides consist of running to the free throw line back,  half way line and back, to the other free throw line, to the end of the base line at other end. This equals 1 suicide  run. I will get the players to complete 5 runs.

Can be done with a ball 

COACHING POINTS

The warm up lets all the participants heart rate raise letting the blood get pumped around the muscles loosening them off. Reducing any injuries risks later in the session.

During the warm up when the participants are reaching the half way line, I will tell them to shadow perform a shot. Stopping at the half way line using imagery of receiving a pass and stepping into the shot.

Coaching points- Jump before the line Slightly forward and up, bending the knees and timing the jump between
