DESCRIPTION

I. WARM-UP (10 Minutes; 5:30-5:40)

  • Coach Murtha and Coach Parker show team proper dribbling techniques (2-3 minutes)
    • Use your finger pads
    • Keep eyes over the ball
    • Keep the ball low (below the waist)
    • Keep the ball at your side
  • Players then free dribble for 6-7 minutes in half the court (2 coaches run this while others get stations setup)
    • Want all kids in small area learning to dribble near one another and avoid one another
    • Coaches encourage the kids to try both hands, finger pads, ball below the waste on the bounce
