Hi I am looking for an order of what is best to start teaching in Basketball......like what to teach first, second, third and so on any ideas?
They have to know how to Dribble before they can do anything. Shooting should be next.defense is next.Rebounding. Start with that and see what happens.
they have to know how to catch or receving the ball then dribbling the ball
The fundamentals are all important. Teach catching, passing and dribbling with the ball first. Next should be stopping with the ball. Then go on to shooting a set shot. You must explain to them the importance of starting slow...I use the example of a house...without firm foundations the walls will crumble. Corny but they understand it. Hope it helps
