DESCRIPTION

A drill to improve accuracy of a Defensive Dig.

COACHING POINTS

Player 2 has three options of where to dig, back to Player 3 or to their left or right. The feed from Player 1 needs to be accurate.

3 Player Passing Drill:

3 player triangular passing drill. Player 1 and Player 2 use defensive dig passes, whilst Player 3 uses the overhead pass. This can simulate player 3 setting up a teammate for a smash

2 Player Defensive Dig Drill:

Player 1 pushes a high ball for player 2 to defensive dig back to Player 1.

Passing Drill Over The Net | 4 Passing Drills

Passing Drill Over The Net:

One player of the pair on either side of the net.

A set or overhead pass drill, with the players passing to each other.

Can be used as a warm up drill.

2 Player First time Set drill Using the Net:

2 Player First time set drill.

Player passes the ball above head height to one another, waiting for the coach's whistle.

Upon hearing the whistle the players must set to each other, then duck under the net and continue to set to each other.
