Keep the ball alive! Defensive Bump Session

Dig your team out of a hole and keep the point alive to set up your own attacks. This session works on your defensive plays, most importantly your digs and developing the control over them to keep the point alive.

OFTEN USED WITH...

Beginners Set Drill:

A drill to improve hand to eye co-ordination for beginners.

The player uses their wrists to hit the ball up in the air.

The ball can bounce on the ground before it is knocked up in the air again.

3 Grass roots

2 Player Passing Drill:

Two players stand about 10m apart, and underarm pass to each other. The cross on the floor is the area where the ball must bounce. Drill enhances passing accuracy.

3 Grass roots

Grassroot serving:

2 players, 1 ball. The player serving has to hit the ball over the net so that the other player can catch the ball.

If they are successful 3 times in a row the player can take a step back and move closer to the back line.

Once players reach the back line they can swap roles.

7 Serve Drills

4 player Passing Drill:

4 Player passing drill, with first time set to each other in routine.
