DESCRIPTION

Player uses left and right hand to throw the ball at the net. Hand motion should be similar to serve (backswing and swing forward), opposite foot in front.

Hit the Ball, Grab the Ball:

Player stands with the ball in non-dominant hand. They drop it down and hit with dominant hand vertically.

7 Serve Drills

Toss the Ball:

Player stands with right leg in front (if right-handed) and tosses the ball with extended arm that they serve with. The ball should rotate more and more times every consecutive toss.

Run and Jump:

Player runs from zone 1 to further zones. In the centre of each he/she jumps (J) and lifts bent knees to chest as high as possible. Ways of running: forward (f), sideways (s), backwards (b).

2 Warm Up

Attack Line to Attack Line:

Player stands on attack line facing the net with right foot in front if right-handed, and left foot in front if left-handed. They toss the ball high, move their other foot forward, setting up serve position.
