I coach an under 12s team and although in training we do lots of passing and shooting drills, using both feet, when it comes to a game situation (in training or on Sunday) they all go back to only kicking using their stronger foot.
I currently manage and coach a under 7's team - i curently use the FA Level 1 coaching games as well as games from these webpages. We go indoor training from this week in a school hall - could anyone point me in the direction of some training games that could take place indoors - thanks in advance

My team struggles when defending set pieces. I have now allocated every player a role, whether that be marking, on the posts, on the edge of the area or whatever, but they lose their men quite quickly at times and we get punished! Has anyone got any tips or suggestions on how to improve on this?
Hi, I am looking for assessments drills\tasks that will allow me to measure player outcomes......a measuring mechanism will also be idealTypically if you want to measure basic technical then you would measure juggling as an example and count the number over a limited duration. but when you start to go into movement etc then it get a bit complicated cause measuring a players ability to receive the ball in his run or on a turn.....how do you measure that?

Hi, I am a long time player, first time coach. I am going to be coaching 13-15YO girls who are very enthusiastic and most of the team have good skills already. We are about to start our 2 months of pre-season training and we are still looking for more players to join the team. There will be a small number of beginners in the group. During the open training session we held, I found they got bored very easily. How can I structure our first few sessions to ensure;1. They want to come back 2. They have fun and get to know each other 3. They feel like I am going to be a good coach that will help them develop their skills. I want to make sure they believe in me as a coach while I get the hang of actually coaching. Very overwhelmed at the moment.

add a zig-zag of cones 1 less than the number of players on each team. the players pas a bib from one to the other until the bib reaches last player that player does 1v1 against opposite team and coach plays ball in the middle. attacking players keep bib and once ball is out of play they can run to start the next line again. Morning, I have just started coaching a local U10s team made up of kids (boys and girls) with varying skills and ability. We are viewed as one of the weaker teams in our region and lose much more than we win. I watched last season but wanted to help out this year. I am very new to coaching and would really appreciate some guidance on good drills to help players play with their heads up, looking for a pass, movement and positioning. They are good kids and I just want them to win a few games which will help them enjoy the game more.

Hi, I have taken on my first U11 football team and we are building a squad from scratch for all comers, we have picked up some good players with a few who have hardly ever kicked a ball. I have always promoted everyione is welcome but it seems some of the better players are now making comments that they wont stay if the lesser players continue! What do i do?
Hi I have quite a large squad (11) for my U9s team. Sometimes not all of them turn up but when they do managing the substitutions can be a nightmare. Disciplining for misbehaviour? 8-11 year olds, they dont really get bored because i know that sometimes that can be the cause. How or what can i apply a bit of strictness into the team.
There are a number of pupils in my class that don't know the basic skills needed to play football, they lack the skills needed and the discipline. Because of that I'm asking if any of you have some ideas what to do? Ideally I need ideas on what to do to help get my class into shape and to start learning the basics.
