Colored Spots

Your tennis drills are extremely useful coaching tools.

DESCRIPTION

DRILL TYPE: Warmups

EQUIPMENT:

  1. Colored Poly Spots- (5) Red, (5) Green, (5) Yellow, (5) Blue, (5) Orange, (5) Purple
  2. (4) Big Cones

SETUP:

  1. Place the 4 big cones around the tennis court on the corner of the baseline and doubles sideline.
  2. In the court place the colored spots, spread them out.

MISSION:

  1. Players jog around the outside of the the court, when the coach calls out a colored spot, the players have to find that colored spot.
  2. If the players don’t find a colored spot they are out of the game and that spot is eliminated.
  3. Players jog around the outside of the court and the coach calls out a colored spot, the players have to find that colored spot.
  4. The coach will keep taken some colored spot away, the players left without a colored spot have to set out.
  5. The last player wins.

COACHING POINTS

Make sure players keep their head up and look for the colored spot.

Make sure the players are listening for the colored spot.
