Volleyball Drill Demonstration

Description

Rhythm hitting; the coach feeds the setter to set a hitter for their partner.

After they have hit the ball they run around an object near the baseline of the court and then repeat.

Coaching points

Ensure the spike is struck at the top of the hitter's jump, with power down into the opposition's court.

If you have two good hitters and one not so good hitter in the group, the weaker hitter should start to pick up the good traits and timing of the good hitters.

The other thing is work them until fatigued and the players should reduce the amount of unwanted movements and become more economical.
