DESCRIPTION

- Coach feeds the ball low over the net.
- 2 players try to beat the goalie.
- They must bend low to attack the volleys.
- A point is scored if the ball is hit between the cones.
- Play 15-20 balls then rotate.

First to 10 wins. Rally to 6-10 shots without a mistake. Try and win the point but not allowed to hit winners.

Volleying Skills, Keeping ball in play

Description
Partners line up along each side of the net. One player has the racket, the other has the ball. One player throws the ball to the volleyer who tries to hit the ball back to the feeder. If he catches it then they move one place to the right. The aim is to move along the length of the net as often as possible.

- Player plays 2 volleys, then joins the back of the queue.
- Coach gives low feeds, from hand feed, to encourage players to lunge.

- Encourage short backswing and good footwork.
