DESCRIPTION

  • Player keeps dumbbells in both hands at the level of the shoulders.
  • Player alternates moving opposite arms up and down.
  • After each repetition player comes back to the starting position.

COACHING POINTS

  • In this drill player strengthens shoulders and prevent them from possible injuries.
  • Tennis puts a lot of pressure on internal and external rotators so implementing specific exercises into warm up routine is a must for any player who wants to have successful and long career.
  • Coach should pay attention to the technique and make sure that player uses shoulders muscles to perform this exercise.
