The player keeps weights in both hands. The player performs a lunge and lifts the weights up. The player alternates legs with each repetition.

COACHING POINTS

In this drill, the player works on strength of shoulders and legs. It is important to develop strength of the legs because answering slice balls requires intense action of legs muscles. Some mistakes in tennis are made because of weaknesses in physical preparation so players have to be aware of that.
