Tennis: Bring knees on the ball

Your tennis drills are extremely useful coaching tools.
Nail, Tennis coach

DESCRIPTION

Player takes the push up position and places the legs on the gymnastic ball. Player brings the knees to the chest by rolling the ball on the court.

COACHING POINTS

Core muscles are often trained by tennis players and there is a reason for that. Modern tennis is based on powerful serves and strokes that require a lot of turning action so solid core muscles are required to perform these strokes effectively. Coach should make sure that players maintain push up position (hips are not dropping) to avoid lower back injuries.
