Who's going to make the final cut? It's never easy running a selection session. Use this competitive session, to help you complete the puzzle and find your best team!

Get your young players enjoying basketball in this fun session that will keep them interested and improve their skills.

Split the class into groups of 6. With 3 defenders and 3 attackers. One team starts with the ball and is attacking the basket, with the other team defending. If the defenders get the ball then the roles are reversed.

Play 2 versus 2 at one basket.
No dribbling allowed.
Alternate possession. Play to eleven.

All players have a ball each.

The catchers have to try and touch one of the players without bibs. If they succeed in doing so then that person has to stand still and put their ball on their head.

Players set up as shown in video clip. The line of players under the basket will each have a basketball.

1. A pass will be made from the line on the baseline to the line at the top.
   
   
2. Once the pass has been received that player will take a shot. The passer of the ball will run out and do a close out with their hand up to contest the shot.
   
   
3. After the shot has been released they will turn and box out to get the rebound.
