Make sure that the players place the racket head behind the ball (little to no backswing) and hit the ball back in front of the body with a small follow through. Children and beginners are allowed to make small punches. At a little more level you should not allow this. Have the players move continuously with split steps and recovery steps.
Mini tennis:
same as above, only a small back swing and adjusted or full follow through.
3/4 tennis:
same as above, only now a small back swing and a full follow through.
Baseline tennis:
Same as above, only now full back swing and full follow through.
