Dummy:

Tactic
Encourage volley reactions and movement.

Description
Player 1 and 2 are volleying to each other, player 3 is behind player 1. Player 1 will dummy the ball. Player 3 will try to volley it back to player 2.

Circle Volley to a Target:

Teacher feeds the ball, however the student must shout out when they are about to split step (which would be just before the teacher feeds the ball).

Ball is hit to centre of court and student makes a low forehand volley to the target before returning to the line.

Concentrate on stopping for split step and controlling the volley.

Cover Volley:

Coach feeds the ball to the front player in the queue who volleys the ball back then the coach volleys the ball to the forehand side of the player 2nd inline who moves out and plays back the volley to then move back in behind the 1st player who volleys the next shot the 2nd player know moves out to the backhand side to volley the ball once again back to the coach. 2nd player then moves back to the queue and next player in line repeats the exercise.
Very time a mistake is made by the front player a new player moves to the front.
