Player serves to the T from ad side. Coach hits easier return to the backhand side. Player moves inside the baseline and around the backhand to hit an offensive forehand inside in.
In this drill, Player works on connecting a strong serve with an offensive forehand. A well-placed serve to the T from ad side will most of the time force rival to hit through the middle or a little bit to the backhand side. So knowing that, Player can prepare for the next shot to put a lot of pressure on the opponent. A weaker return should always be punished, therefore Player's mental approach should be to dominate from the first ball of the rally. Coach should encourage Player to move inside the court on every short ball to use an offensive forehand. Inside in direction is a good choice especially when it is followed by movement to the net.
