Having a solid return from the deuce side can result in more advantages and break points for the player. At the junior level, many players lose points because of unforced returning mistakes or by giving short and easy returns after well-placed serves. At the beginning of this exercise, the player works on placement and depth by trying to hit a forehand cross-court return. It is important to possess consistent and deep cross-court return to limit server's possibilities.
