DESCRIPTION

Coach feeds in the ball. both net players can try to intercept the ball and win the rally to score a point.

COACHING POINTS

Players at the net can not go behind the service line.

Swap after 6 points are scored.

Hitting winners v net player:

Coach feeds in a ball to the player on the base line who has to try and hit a passing shot past the player at the net

Short ball down the line:

Players line up in two lines half way down the court.

The coach feeds the ball short over the net for a player to run diagonally across the court to play the ball down the line.

First volley down the line with a cross-court pass | Passing Shots Drills

First volley down the line with a cross-court pass:

Approacher moves forward plays forhand volley down the line while passer tries to pass cross-court; volleyer must cover the cross-court area and volley the ball into the open court.

Two shot winners:

Players in two lines on the baseline.

Player starts running across court to hit a fed ball on the service line. Hits the ball down the line and then closes in on the net to hit a short fed ball volley across court for a winner. Then the player moves to the back of the other que.
