Tennis: Forehand pattern with finishing down the line on the run

Thank you very much for the marvellous site.
Nick, Tennis coach

DESCRIPTION

There are 3 movements in this drill. Coach feeds first ball to the deuce side and player responds with forehand cross court. Coach immediately feeds second ball and the player hits an inside out. The next ball is fed aggressively to the deuce side. Player finishes with forehand down the line on the run.

COACHING POINTS

Incorporating shots on the run into different playing patterns are real scenarios that players have to meet during tournaments. It is important to precede running shot with few shots to see how players respond to running shots while being tired. Rafa Nadal and his famous "banana" shot is a typical example of a professional player who can play fabulous winner while being on the run.
