Tennis Drill Demonstration
The coach feeds medium ball to the backhand side, the player then runs around and hits forehand angle inside out.
Modern players know perfectly how to respond to deep aggressive shots but they are not as skilled with responding to the angle shots. Being able to open the court by hitting forehand angle inside out creates an opportunity to easily dominate the point and hit medium-paced winner with the next ball.
In this drill, the player works on forehand angle inside out. Quick movement and wrist action (acceleration) have to be emphasized to achieve decent placement of this shot. For more advanced players, coach can add few balls before the angle attempt to see how the player performs while being tired.
